Found this comic strip at lowbright.com and fell in love with it instantly. Comic box #12 reminded me of my earlier climbs. The year: 1998. The place: Mt. Arayat., Pampanga The event: After an overnight camp, we were heading home and were going down Mt. Arayat. The story: Me being me was goofing around at the tail end part of the movement with my guy friends. Let the person I was following disappear, sprint downwards to gain on them, then stop once I've reached them, and then let them disappear again. The trail was wet, muddy, slippery, and I was wearing tennis shoes for crying out loud. *hehehe* That makes it more dangerous. This was taken sometime in 2002. We were in Batulao having lunch with our 'guide.' I forgot his name, but he's that little boy on the upper right. The other girl we call her "Doc." I also forgot her name. She teaches chemistry at DLSU-Taft and already has her PhD kaya "Doc". My friend, Arjyl, is the one behind the camera taking our pic. As you may have guessed, I am the girl in green shirt. Do take note of the stance, I bet that is not how my jazz teacher would have wanted me in but I was not even aware of my body's position at that time.
